Hi please help . I’ve wanted a Magimix for years . Finally got one for my birthday - 4200XL and I’m so disappointed/frustrated. The instruction book is of no use at all. I tried to grate cheese in the medium bowl and some of it escaped into the big bowl so both had to be washed plus the grater disc and the push things. Some of the block of cheese just kept spinning round on top of the grater What a faff. I’m also not sure what the ‘double pusher’ is used for. If I’ve got to wash multiple bowls up every time it’s not going to be used, quicker to get the grater out . Also when I took the bowl off the stand some of the grated cheese fell through the hole in the bottom of the medium bowl. All very odd. I guess I must be doing something wrong as everyone raves about Magimix. Any suggestions?

Sorry @mousingabout but I'm just blatantly placemarking marking.

@CadyEastman what does your reply mean please? Have I put a question in the wrong section? Not used to Mumsnet . Apologies if so, I was just wanting advice on my Magimix

Now me, I love my magi mix but I use it for large amounts. So enough cheese for one person - grater comes out, needing a Kilo of grated then I use that

I use it for slicing mostly, huge amounts of veg for soups and casseroles. I use it to make cakes ,pastry, hummus , dips, stuffing, meat balls,
breadcrumbs, mayonaise , so many things. Its left on the counter so I can use it as needed

Yep the washing up of it all is a PITA, I dont put it in the dishwasher but it can be

Same. I have mini chopper for small amounts and the magimix comes out for batch cooking, when we have people round and the occasional cake. I never use the middle bowl and just use the big one as it’s less to clean up. And I hate the annoying thing where it leaves the last chunk of carrot ungrated!

Yes that seems to be working perfectly correctly; mine is the same.
