and bugger me sideways and call me Shirley, isn't it just fantastic.

It could be rivalling the classic LDC or Nigellas choc fudge at the top of my desert island cakes selection.

It's good.

Recipe please

Slubberdegullion · 25/03/2008 18:19

er , re recipe the instructions were not v precise on some chat thread about a cake gone wrong.

Use Mars' classic LDC recp (in recipes bit at top) substitute lemon for limes, add cocoa powder or Mars said "I melt a chocolate bar" so I lobbed in a Barbie Mariposa easter egg, and it was a wee bit pale so I chucked in a good old tsp of cocoa powder. Cooked as normal. drizzled with icing sugar + lime

yum

end resuly def on the pale 'milk chocolatey' side of chocolate cake so next time I will prob use a tbsp (+ /- easter eggs)

OMG sounds lush

fishie · 25/03/2008 18:26

do you think it would make a nice birthday cake with a choc ganache? for a 70yo.

Slubberdegullion · 25/03/2008 18:32

Substitue the drizzle for Ganache? hmmmm well for me the tart drizzle it the best bit. But the choc sponge with the hint of lime is very nice. It's quite a sophisticated taste, my DC love the LDC but turned their noses up at the L&CDC (peasants)

I trust this gift to the world has been added to the MN recipe section? (She said in her most official voice, whilst trying not to drool over the keyboard.)
