Anyone got a good bean burger recipe? Or bean balls?

I have cans of pinto beans, various dried lentils etc, onions, eggs, peppers and a fairly well stocked 'ingredients' cupboard.

I fancy making either bean burgers, or maybe sort of bean balls in a tomato sauce?

Well I didn't find a recipe in any of my books and I couldn't find anything I fancied on the internet (is there a secret to finding good recipes on the internet? - I only ever seem to come across American recipes that count 'a tin of fajita filling' or 'a packet of cake mix' as raw ingredients)

Soooo, I made it up.

Chopped onion
Can of kidney beans
Some grated mushrooms
An egg
Chopped tomatoes
Cumin
Corriander
Flour to bind

All smushed about a bit and then made into patties. Baked for 20 mins at 180.

They were pretty good. I'd do them a bit differently next time - for a start they desparately needed salt which I hadn't put in on dd's account. Would also replace the chopped toms with tom puree, and perhaps add garlic and black pepper. They were slightly too wet and needed a bit more oomph, but on the whole not bad.

Please do share if you have a real bean burger or bean ball recipe that you love.
