I tried making peas for my 6 month old and they turned out a little lumpier than I would have liked (probably because of the skin). How can I make it smoother?

have you got a hand blender? you can get them from asda from under five pounds. totally invaluable if you are making your own babies food.

Are they better than a normal blender? I used a mini chopper which was great for the carrots I made. Is a hand blender any different?

Moulin legume. I put leftovers through our hand operated moulin legume and give it to my baby (8 months) I have just started using the medium seive bit (it comes with 3 - fine, medium and coarse) so he can get used to lumps. I bought it in France many moons ago and use it for soup and baby food.

Hmm..I've never heard of that before Swedes. Describe it. Is it like a food mill?

easier on the washing up, you can use it in the pan you cook the food in.

It looks like this It is really brilliant. Any good cook shop should be able to source it for you.

thats what i use scottishmummy.

word of advice, dont use when whatever you are blending is too hot, the plastic makes interesting shapes but makes the blender unusable!

scottishmummy · 23/03/2008 19:50
