for DS Easter gift, any comments on that recipe before I crack open the condensed milk?

Anyone else feel funny / wrong about condensed milk? (In general I mean, not casting nasturtiums on Anon's recipe).

I thought Carnation was evaporated not condensed

I use Condensed, 8oz Butter, 2lb sugar & it takes much longer to cook in your heaviest pan

Vanilla won't make much difference - try chopped apricots or raisins (DH said or Dreid Mango - like you'd have that in )

The edge parts of the fudge worked out ok, smooth & glossy and with a good fudgey texture but the inner part is full of crystallised sugar bits and feels ick against your teeth. Is this because of stirring at wrong time?

Also it tastes quite like condensed milk!
