Chicken satay, mixed meat roll and monk’s vegetables.

Chicken in black bean sauce, 2 x chow mein, 2x chicken balls, 2x egg fried rice, Kung po chicken, curry sauce, chips, sometimes a chicken curry as well.

Also pancake rolls.

I had a Chinese takeaway for the second time in over five years last week.

Crispy chilli shredded beef - very nice.
Prawn crackers - not great and very greasy. I refer Thai crackers.
Egg fried rice. Not great. I can make it nicer myself and I’m shit at cooking.
Kids had sweet and sour chicken. This was always one of my favourite dishes but it was very artificial.
Beef with mushrooms. It was ok. Compared to everything else other than the crispy chilli beef.

We had a great meal in Soho last year but the takeaway was very disappointing., more so because I ordered from an expensive restaurant so expected it to be better.
I much prefer Thai takeaway.

My favourite is beef with ginger and spring onions.

DH always go for chicken sweet and sour.

Siu mai, Singapore fried rice, ribs in honey, salt and chilli squid and prawn toast. Extra BBQ sauce. Pineapple fritter.

Occasionally kung po chicken. I like egg fried rice but I’m the only person in the family who does so we rarely get it.

King prawns with ginger and spring onions.
Probably a pancake roll... maybe it's a local thing, but they are 2" diameter, about 6" long and yummy. Haven't see ones like this except on the South Coast.

Sometimes mix it up wit shredded crispy chili beef, shredded crispy honey chilli chicken or chicken satay

My Chinese take away preference is stuck in the 70s: sweet & sour chicken balls. However, I now eat according to the "healthy plate model", in which half your plate should be made up of vegetables, so I have added mixed vegetables in satay sauce, which are delicious!
