What would you cook if you wanted a special 3 course meal?

Not sure yet, but I've just bought some heart-shaped multi-coloured pasta from Aldi.

Lobster bisque
Asparagus carbonara
Tarte aux pommes

For me, I would love.

Arancini with Arrabbiata sauce to start
Pork belly with fennel, cannelini beans and salsa verde.
Pistachio cannoli.

But my other half would hate all that so the reality would be

Baked Camembert
Steak and chips
Profiteroles

I was thinking creamy garlic mushroom pasta for a main course and creme brulee for dessert. But creme brulee looks like a pain to make and DH hates custard, but I love it. No idea for a starter.

@MrTiddlesTheCat Bonne maman creme brulee isn't bad and then you could buy your DH something he would like?
I think I'd go for a simple light starter if you're going for a creamy pasta main. Something like a bruschetta, you could do a trio of different ones or maybe a light soup? We don't do seafood but some scallops or prawns could be good?

Charcuterie plate

Steak + pepper sauce, pommes dauphinoise.

Citrus cheesecake
