bit of a random one … when I was 30 weeks pregnant I was really craving chocolate porridge , I loved chocolate ready brek as a kid so I went to look for it and can’t find it anywhere ! Tesco, Asda , m&s , no where ?? Not even just ready brek , any chocolate porridge ?! The only chocolate porridge I can find is protein cups .. what’s going onnnnn😭😭 I currently just make normal porridge and add in chocolate spread it tastes just as nice but curious if anyone else has noticed ?

They’ve had it in Aldi recently, and Morrisons usually sell it too.

Ttc125 · 06/02/2024 21:45

We don’t have an Aldi or Morrisons here 😭

Make your own by adding cocoa powder and sugar to it.

Ribenaberry12 · 06/02/2024 22:15

I chuck some nesquik powder into porridge. Closest I’ve found to chocolate ready brek.

ThreadLasso · 06/02/2024 22:29

You can get chocolate Oatso simple

Notherefortheclout · 06/02/2024 22:36

A spoonful of Nutella in readybrek is just as good if not better.

Eightfour · 06/02/2024 22:38

Chocolate nesquik powder stirred in tastes the same. That’s what we used to do as kids. I hadn’t thought about chocolate Ready Brek in about 25 years and now I want some.

Just add 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder and a bit of sugar into your porridge as you are cooking it.

That's all they do with ready made chocolate porridge anyway. True story!

Yes I’ve been adding in chocolate spread to porridge oats and it’s lovely !! I just wanted the smoothness of ready brek, then I remembered I should just buy the ready brek original and add in chocolate lol !

You can also just blend up the porridge oats a little bit (before you cook them) and it will be smoother. That's all ready brek is (Don't whizz them to oblivion, just a quick pulse or two!)

My husband works in weetabix and yes unfortunately they done their last run of chocolate ready break last week :(

swapcicles · 09/09/2024 06:39

Asda do a version which is pretty good, I've not found the real stuff for ages apart from the sachets.

Stars15 · 09/09/2024 06:41

I couldn’t find it either so have been using fuel chocolate porridge and found it almost identical.

Mausbajiiw · 09/09/2024 19:24

Ocado usually sell it

Suitcasesthree · 09/09/2024 19:28

You've brought back some memories, my dear granny used to call it plastic porridge. 🥰
FWIW, when I had it as an adult it just didn't taste the same. Cadbury chocolate spread in plain porridge was loads nicer.

Deathraystare · 10/09/2024 14:44

And now I have to ore some! Haven't had it since I was a kid!
