We are down with a virus in this house 🤧

So I'm wondering what to cook for dinner to make everyone feel better.

What do you make to eat when you or your family are sick?

Can we share the recipes?

Chicken soup (with chilli flakes for adults unless it’s been d&v) or coq au vin with a bit of nice bread or mash. Tummies depending tho.

Golden milk. Warm milk with turmeric, honey, black pepper and cinnamon.

Pastina

Hot & sour soup

Chilli chicken Ramen

I tend to either crave really spicy food or stuff from my childhood like mince and tatties, scotch broth, lentil and bacon soup, chips and gravy, boiled egg and soilders or mashed up egg in a cup or a tin of tomato soup with cheese on toast.

Hope you all feel better soon.

Loving the chicken soup / ramen options!

We also like a thai curry here.

Golden milk. Warm milk with turmeric, honey, black pepper and cinnamon.

Nice but not very filling
A curry with loads of turmeric though!

Golden milk. Warm milk with turmeric, honey, black pepper and cinnamon.

Similar to this but with porridge:

40g Oats
200ml Milk of choice (I use almond but you could try oat, soya, dairy etc)
Turmeric (1tsp)
Cinammon (half tsp)
Honey to taste (I use a dessert spoonful) or sugar/ stevia
Good grind of black pepper
Chopped banana

Put all together in a pan, bring to the boil, turn down and simmer, stirring occasionally until cooked (10-15 mins).

Top it with nuts and seeds of choice. I recommend chopped hazelnuts and chia seeds.
