Idli rice

Would like to make uttapam, and it calls for idli rice? Anyone know a substitute, or if I can buy in Asian supermarket?

You should be able to get readymade idli and dosa batter in Asian stores.

Idlis are a sort of cake made out of fermented ground lentils (black dal - although it’s the centre of the dal which is white). You can also make them out of rice (‘rice idli’). There isnt a particular type of rice you make it with - just like normal basmati.
