Made far too much for my Victoria sponge.

Be nice to freeze and use for fairy cakes,

Is this possible?

Yes totally fine. Defrost in the fridge and you’ll probably need to give it another whip when it’s defrosted, but I’ve never had an issue with freezing.

Thanks Queijo 🙂

Which type of buttercream? I’ve frozen Italian meringue buttercream and it freezes beautifully, though it does need whipping again after it’s defrosted.

It's just butter and icing sugar with a tiny bit of milk thrown in.
