Such is the strength of DS2's pester power.

I want to cook it tonight.

Can I just put it in the oven in some foil, at 200C or something?

Or should I make a coating with bread crumbs and garlic or something?

I'm on my way!

Is sea bass good then? I don't think I've eaten it before. I don't really like fish.

DS2, however, must visit the fish counter whenever we go to the supermarket, and pick a (preferably whole) fish.

I had a bit of a dispute, after we'd picked the sea bass, he wanted a whole salmon, too.

Oh yes. It's a nice meaty fish. You'd probably like it. It doesn't have to be fancy. You can do it nice and simply. Sorry but my brain is too tired to think about recipes (esp as a lot involve caribbean spices)

Ulysees · 20/03/2008 17:08

lucky you my favourite fish.

NotQuiteCockney · 20/03/2008 17:11

Hmmm, don't think we have a lot of caribbean spices ... maybe some jerk sauce somewhere?

its a beautiful delicate fish i normally do fillets simply in greaseproof bag with herbs lemon wine

oven roasted is good esp for whole fish
i would keep it simple with steamed veg cabbage beans etc and wedges

tis luverly..
