Pudding

I always make pudding on a Sunday but today I’m not feeling inspired. Needs to be relatively quick and easy today as don’t have masses of time. Also one child is suspicious of cooked fruit. He eats cooked bananas in banana bread etc so I might get away with something where he can’t see the fruit.

What are your favourites?

Jam sponge with custard.

Self saucing lemon or chocolate pudding

See lots of suggestions for self saucing puddings. I made the Delia lemon one a couple of weekends ago, and I have to admit it was a disaster. No sauce and really dry. Not sure what I did wrong but probably would give those a miss based on previous experience.

You probably over baked it, very easy done with a self saucing

how about sponge and custard ( we have chocolate sponge and custard tonight )

rice pudding, cheesecake, sticky toffee,

If no self saucing is just make a microwave syrup sponge pudding, tastes good and really quick

Made cranachan today as we’re having our haggis tonight. Oats, whipped cream and honey, with some frozen raspberries. I added a touch of AF ‘whiskey’ spirit as I don’t drink but gives it an oaky smoky flavour.

I went with the microwave syrup sponge. Can’t believe I haven’t made one before but DC loved it. Definitely a keeper.
