Hi, this is very specific, sorry! I'm looking for a lovely restaurant in town for a girly lunch very close to either a Northern or a Piccadilly Line station, due to two of us having knee issues. Any suggestions?

The Wolseley - just across the road from Green Park tube (Piccadilly Line) next to the Ritz.

German Gymnasium very close to King’s Cross, or L’Oscar very close to Holborn.

We live in London and had our first lunch ever at Fortnum and Mason on Saturday. It was delicious and well priced too ( much to my surprise as their groceries while yummy are so expensive).
Very close to Green Park tube.

There are quite a lot of foodie options near the Borough High St exit of London Bridge tube, due to Borough Market being there.

Eg Tapas Brindisa
Padella (pasta- but no bookings I think)
Bancone (pasta - does take bookings)
Wright Brothers (fish)
Rambutan (Sri Lankan)

Brindisa and Padella are literally opposite the tube exit. The others are max 3-4 min walk.

There’s also Santo Remedia (Mexican) also near London Bridge but the other direction - Tooley St exit.

Thanks for the excellent suggestions everyone. In the end we booked a table at Brasserie Zedel. Will report back!

Elliot's in Borough is one of my favourite restaurants - if you like the others you mention you'll love it!

But Brassie Zedel is an institution, you'll have a fab time.

Thanks Boston, I regularly meet a friend in that area so always keen for new places to try. Bancone is excellent should you want a recommendation in return

I was just coming to suggest the very same! A visit to London for us is not complete without a visit to Brasserie Zedel.
