Ken Hom Green Thai curry paste recipe from late 90s, early 00s?

Involving

Shallots, coriander, garlic, ginger, green chilli, bit of sugar, fish sauce or shrimp paste (or both?). No lemongrass in the actual paste, you bash the lemongrass and let it seep in the curry when you cook that.
There might have been basil in it, meant to be chinese basil but I used to use basil.

It was with a prawn curry recipe apparently

I used to cook this regularly but havent for years and want to get it exactly right.

Cant remember the exact details

@soupfiend I've got 2 of his Thai books, & they refer to "green curry paste" - no recipes for it.

I use Mae Ploy - like a lot of restaurants !

Thank you, Im having the same problem, each recipe I find of his just refers to curry paste. But he did used to have a recipe for the paste and I vaguely remember it being shallots, ginger, garlic, coriander, green chilli and shrimp paste although I never used the shrimp past

Then when you fry that off, add coconut milk, then temper the lemongrass in the mixture while it cooks down and add fish sauce to taste and sugar to taste. But I dont know if theres anything else Ive forgotten about it.

Ermmm... this is a list of ingredients, not a recipe.
I expect OP would like to know the quantities - assuming this is the Ken Hom recipe she's after.
