I've been craving a pastel blue Smeg hand mixer for ages, and finally caved in two weeks ago.
The first couple of times I used it - perfect!
The third time, just this morning, it suddenly gave up the ghost a minute into mixing and hasn't come on since.
Has anyone else had similar issues?
After going round in circles on the AO helpline, then the Smeg helpline which, despite giving Saturday opening times, just sent me to a generic help form, saying they were closed until Monday, back to AO and an automated reply from Smeg I'm exhausted - and cross.
Whereas the mixer is still in stock on AO, the generic Smeg email has informed me that while they will send a replacement it may not be for UP TO A MONTH as they are experiencing stock shortages.
But I feel my contract is with AO, who have the identical mixer in stock and could presumably sent immediately.
AIBU to not want to wait up to a month for a replacement directly from Smeg when my contract is with AO?
