Power bowl ideas

Power bowls? not sure if that’s the correct term but those bowls with a protein, usually including avocado, a legume or two and veg.

Can anyone recommend any they regularly make? Do you cook the protein with a flavour or have a favourite sauce you use or eat it dry?

Do you mean Buddha Bowls? I'm not sure why they're called that, is it a joke 'make me one with everything'? - that's generally my approach to something approximating to one depending what's in the fridge.Grin

I've not tried any of these but I found a list which looks like it's got some good ideas

Ah brilliant of course! Buddha bowl. Yes yes yes!

Thanks so much - the green goddess and Mexican ones look just what I’ve been after.

It was my understanding that Buddha bowls don't contain meat and a power/nourish bowl does but I very often see buddha bowl recipes with meat so I could be totally wrong 😂. Anyway I have them alot for lunches and here's a few of my favourites. I don't follow them exactly but just to give you an idea! Probably very similar to the ones on the above link though tbh. They're all a bit samey as I'm fussy 😂. Don't have a recipe really for my favourite one as I just make it up as I go, but it's tandoori chicken breast, spinach, cucumber, onion, tomato, coriander, spicy roasted chickpeas or sweet potato, homemade raita dressing. I used to do it with rice but I'm trying to eat less rice/bread atm.

Cajun chicken
Nando's rainbow bowl (I top with peri peri chicken)
Turkey taco bowl
Greek chicken

Yum that sounds delicious with a homemade raita dressing.

We have just had chipotle chicken, black beans and sweetcorn, broccoli, brown rice, red cabbage, cucumber, tomato and avo. Had some hummus but it def needs a sauce/mayo/thin tahini or something to bring it together.
