Something similar to the Ottolenghi tandoori confit chickpeas?

As a result of the thread on this recipe I made it, in the slow cooker, with great results - it's really delicious.

Does anyone know of something similar - I suppose I could repeat the recipe and use say black-eyed beans or butter beans but was wondering if anyone had any bright ideas!

DH made the Ottolenghi lamb thing from the front cover of the Guardian Feast food supplement the other day. It was divine. Almost the best thing I have ever tasted. But we are trying to eat meat far less - just once a week. I suggested to him we make it again but substitute the lamb for butter beans (ideal) or chickpeas (would work.)

Definitely worth a go.

These both look good - thanks!
