Hi all, I transferred chicken curry from the slow cooker to a glass bowl at 9pm and sat the bowl in a pan of cold water waiting to be put in the fridge. I then stupidly fell asleep til 3.30am where its now been put in fridge. Do you think it'll be safe to eat? Its for my toddler and I dont want him getting ill

Assuming you’re in a similar place to me (so it’s not 30° where you are) it’ll be fine.

Oddly enough I woke up thinking “I wonder if DH put the lasagne in the freezer that was cooling on the side”.

he had not.

Thank you. Haha maybe its our bodies going "WAKE up and put the food in the fridge/freezer!!"

Too bad it wasn't soon enough

Yes fine, just as a precaution I’d make sure I reheat it properly before eating

If you're in the UK yes it'll be absolutely fine. And delicious 😋

Thank you all. Its a big batch for the freezer so i didn't want it going to waste 😕

If it was in my kitchen it would have frozen where it sat. An exaggeration but only slight.

as others said UK it’ll be fine but reheat well
