Anyone got a tried recipe for air fryer doughnuts, sounds like fun, but would like a recipe that's known to work!

Place holding cause that sounds great

I saw that one and I will likely try it if I don't get any better suggestions, I looked at a couple on line and they are a bit different to each other, and none of them use strong flour like a 'proper' doughnut recipe. I thought I would use strong flour anyway for a yeast mixture.

For Info
Writing this from memory, so hope no bloomers.

Just made some, used the basic recipe above, substituted strong flour for plain flour, didn't add as much salt. I just mixed dry ingredients together, then melted butter in jug added the milk, vanilla and beat in egg (didn't bother to 'start' the yeast), then added this mixture to the dry ingredients and used dough hooks.

Left to rise 90 minutes then rolled and cut up (which went better than I expected!) Left on floured silicon sheet to rise again. Put on parchment paper in the air fryer (sprayed paper with oil first) gave a little spray over the top too. Didn't use their glaze, brushed with melted butter and dipped in sugar and cinnamon.

Verdict, rose quite well texture pretty good, not exactly the same as deep fried (but they were disappearing pretty fast so can't have been bad) will definitely try again, refine cooking time/temperature a bit maybe. I'm an amateur with an air fryer.
