Sorry, posting 2 threads tonight.

DH got a £50 M&S voucher from work as a Christmas bonus. Whilst I would love to spend it on jumpers, money is tight so thought I would spend it in the new M&S food hall that’s opened near me.

Never really shopped there before other than to pick up Percy pigs or some fruit. Any recommendations on what to buy? Family of 3, one teen. Thanks

Sorry autocorrect fail - it should be chocolatey

M&S staple foods are brilliant. There's a lady on TikTok called @thismumcooks and she cooks on a strict budget completely from M&S. She often does comparisons of how their food is the same or less than Aldi but the chicken is higher welfare.

Butter! The butter blocks are pretty much cheaper than anywhere else

Also
Gastropub meal deal, especially the chicken Kyiv or steak pie
Multi-buy deals on deli stuff (sliced meats, tubs of olives etc)
In store bakery bread is good
Wine if on offer
Free-from/GF stuff if you need it
Biscuits

I like the:

3 for £12 breaded chicken deal
3 for £8 deli chicken deal
Tiger bread rolls
Steak and gravy in a tin
Beans - 50p a tin and better than Heinz!
Tinned soups
Pizza deal
Dine in deals
Bread - 75p!
Ice cream tubs
Melt in the middle chocolate puddings
Sticky toffee puddings
Steak

There is three for £8 on the deli selection which includes family size quiches and they are the best.
Also includes Chinese / bbq chicken wings and drumsticks and packets of ham or pork pies.
There is also three for £12 on burgers / chicken Kievs.
Their huge chicken legs are only £1.50 for two or three depending on size..
Cornsish pasties are great and fabulous value.
Fruit is good value because it lasts very long.
Don't forget the freezer section either.
We have a new huge food hall near Leeds.
It's not as expensive as many seem to think.
They do a lot of their own brands.
I shop there every week...
