My sister bought me this for Christmas.

It's delicious. It goes on everything,

Peanutty, sesame, chilli, garlicky goodness!!!

Great on eggs, noodles, pizza, cheese on toast!!, salads....

Anyone else tried?! Any further suggestions where to slather it?!

I make my own rayu (not with peanuts though). Dead easy to make, lasts forever and amazing on everything from ramen soup (which is what it’s originally for) to cheese on toast. I use the recipe in Japanese Soul Cooking which is an all round fantastic cookbook.

Oh god, it’s so good. Rice is the only thing I can think is missing from your list. It’s an expensive habit, I have to buy it in packs of six direct from them as I can’t find a local stockist!

It's so good, but I miss the cashew version that they don't seem to do anymore. The black bean version also delicious.

Not this brand, but we get the Lao Gan Ma version which looks similar. Great on rice, noodles, as a dip for dumplings, but also on eggs or pretty much anywhere you want that spicy crunchy texture. Search for chili crisp recipes- there’s so many uses for it!

Oh interesting! Is there sesame in it? Whats the main component if no peanuts?

Marinate chicken in in for a couple of hours, fry up with some tender stem broccoli and noodles. We went through a jar in a week - it's addictive
