I've just made a coffee/baileys one and now fancy trying other flavours... there's a vanilla one on BBC good food that is highly rated, but I would love to try some other ones too... Which have you made and loved?

And yes, the real reason is my Christmas present to myself - a wee blowtorch. Serious fun torching those wee puds and it's becoming our party piece - come and blowtorch your own pud!!

I’ve tried the white choc and the lemon ones, but only used the tips from Delia’s. The white choc is my favourite but the lemon one did turn out well so that’s why I’m recommending it.

The summer fruits one is my favourite pudding bar none. I think it's the contrast between the sharp fruit and sweet topping that makes it particularly delicious.

Weirdly I've never made it myself, but my mum treats me to it on special occasions!

She's always made it in a big dish rather than as individual portions but I can't see why it wouldn't work both ways.

I have an anti-recommendation: avoid Nigella's recipe. Tried it twice and it just doesn't work.

thank you - antirecommendations also particularly welcome - so easy to waste time and money on poor recipes Thanks @tishtishboom

@ditalini wow that sounds good - do you know whose recipe??

Salivating already - thank you!!

Rick Stein has a lovely recipe for Crème Brulée ice-cream in his book Coast to Coast.

It's the Delia one that ForgotMyPhone linked to.

My mum's been making it since the 80s as I think it's one of the original Complete Cookery Course recipes - probably counts as retro now 😄
