Mini blender for dressings ?

PollyOrange · 31/12/2023 06:03

I'm a bit addicted to finding new salad recipes and they almost all have dressings that need bending. I've got a food processor but it's too big to get out every time and not great for small quantities so I'm wondering about a small blender. Can anyone recommend one please ?

Nutribullet. I’ve had mine over 8 years and still going strong.

I had a Kenwood one for several years, and it was great! It was just like a mini food processor. I can't remember what I did with it, I think I gave it to someone...

I’ve had a kenwood mini chopper for years and I love it.

Can I take you off topic and ask where you find these salad recipes? Love a salad and there has been a bit too much indulgence this festive period

I know, they're lovely, aren't they? I wish I hadn't given mine away!

Do you have a magimix? I use the top bowl in that.

I've got a Ninja chopper

Ninja Professional Chopper [NJ1002UKBK] Stackable, 200W, Black : Amazon.co.uk: Home & Kitchen

It's got 2 bowls with lids, so handy for storage.

Stick blender with a cup attachment is my preferred way to mix dressings and sauces.

Something like this is perfect

I've had some lovely salad recipes from Ambitious kitchen on FB. You can swap things in and out depending what you have in the fridge and I make enough for a few days.

I have a kitchenaid mini chopper which I bought in last years January sale for the same reason. It's great and I've used it lots for things that I wouldn't have bothered getting the big magimix out for

I got a small one from John Lewis that is perfect for dressings/dips etc.

BarrelOfOtters · 01/01/2024 08:38

Jam ar with lid and shake works for many dressings.

I also have a mini chopper from Lakeland….but usually the jam jar.

If it's not got thick/lumpy things in you can use a milk frother. I have the Ikea one, it whisks things up in seconds. (But no good if you want to blend an avocado in or something)

Tommee Tippee mini baby blender? Proper metal blade and whole thing not much bigger than a large mug.

I just bought a cheapie Temu mini chopper that’s USB -C charged. It fits in my lunchbox. It does and okay job and is perfect for salad for one.
