Can I use *diced* pork shoulder for pulled pork?

Hallo!
I got some diced pork for satay in the slow cooker but now think I might be able to feed a new year crowd by making pulled pork part of a theme with what others are bringing. I would usually use whole shoulder to make pulled; Has anyone used diced to make slow cooker pulled pork? Thanks so much!
xx merry Christmas! Xx
ps this is the satay slow pork recipe I use usually- goes down well x https://www.taste.com.au/recipes/slow-cooker-satay-pork-recipe/yj12b2o7

Slow cooker satay pork

Skip the Chinese takeaway because this satay pork curry is so easy to make at home. Cooked in the slow cooker with just 15 minutes of meal prep, the sauce is super creamy thanks to the coconut milk and peanut butter.

Yes

Yep but I'd reduce the cooking time compared to doing a whole joint.

Seems a faff having to fry it all first, can I skip that bit?

You won’t get nice tasty browned bits without frying. The recipe I use fries the pork (in batches) after slow cooking though, not before.
