Filter coffee machine using mugs not egg cups!

I bought a filter coffee machine for my OH as he loves coffee in the mornings.

Does anyone on here use a filter machine and drink their coffee in mugs? All measurements seem to be for egg-sized cups 🙄and I don't want to waste a couple of bags of coffee trying to get it right.

My questions are:
Can you recommend a strong coffee?
&
How many scoops would you put in for 2 MUGS of coffee?

Thank you very much ☕

Are those the espresso measurements?
If you want a mug of coffee in that case I believe you just add hot water to your taste? Or milk

1 scoop per mug of coffee. Scoop is about a table spoon size

Did you buy an espresso machine?
Did you mean to buy an actual coffee maker which fills a glass jug on a warming plate?

This! The amounts are for espressos - 30 or 60ml presumably? To make a mug of Americano add hot water, and milk if you take it white. To make latte/cappuccino add hot frothed milk to the espresso.

Thanks, everyone .

No, not expresso measurements - doing a Google search I found that an average 'cup' of coffee is 6 - 8 fl oz. Our mugs are at about 15 fl oz so this would need double the amount of 'scoops', which seems a lot!

Yes, the machine is a filter machine that I fill with water and it drips through to the carafe underneath.

I think I'll buy a stronger coffee and use one scoop per mug ( thank you 2under2in2024 )
