Nigella's black bean soup from ham/Coke stock

Has anyone made this and is it worth making? The stock tastes out of this world so I don't want to waste it, but I'm not sure about adding cumin and coriander to it either.

Just in case anyone else finds themselves wondering: I put two tins of black beans (drained) in the stock and simmered it for an hour. I ended up with unbelievably delicious saucy beans. Too thick for soup but amazing as a side. I didn't add anything else. I imagine it will reheat well tomorrow.

Thank you. I use my stock to make pea soup, I've been put off the cola recipes as I wouldn't want to waste it, but this sounds lovely.

It is good, we do this every year.
You may have started yourself a tradition!

I love cumin and always put it in black bean soup. If you're uncertain start with just a little, you can add more if you like it.
is the coriander fresh ir ground?
