What icing to use on a barbie ball dress cake

I'm making a cake for a friend's 4yr old that'll be like this but as sleeping beauty in this pic

I'm confident on making the cake, but I'm unsure what icing (royal/fondant etc) to make her skirt out of? I'm planning to make the cake chocolate.

it just says "Morrisons ready to roll white icing" on the packet, lol.

I always get mixed up between fondant and royal. I think its fondant you will want, the soft Christmas cake icing style IYKWIM
