how to reheat a bought xmas pudding

Probably sounds stupid but to steam a bought xmas pudding do i take the plastic film off the top of the plastic tub the pudding is in?

I would normally microwave it with holes punched through the top film. I’ve never attempted to steam one, sorry

30 seconds on full power in a microwave, having punctured the membrane, is usually enough. Be careful, they have high sugar content so get VERY hot.

We have no microwave so we'll do what it says in this picture. This is a small 100g pudding.

I steamed one yesterday. Left the film intact and it was fine

Take out of pot, chop into chunks, douse with alcohol of you choice - I did amaretto this year, cover and pop in oven while you're eating/microwave according to instructions. Sometimes I sprinkle with flaked almonds.
Fabulous for a cheaper supermarket pud you want to upgrade.

Thanks ll: I don't have a microwave so steamed with the plstic off, it was fine :)
