Something that doesn't go off if it's out of the fridge for a couple of hours.
I tend to take a fresh green salad, cheese board, good bread and president butter or jar of peanut butter. Cake. Crisps. Fancy bread sticks.
Crudités.

If you have heat, my go to recipe for Mumsnet this year

Parboil chunks of pumpkin.
Make an Italian tomato sauce. Include bacon or Greek feta bits for a salt hit.

Layer the pumpkin with the sauce like lasagne. Cheese and breadcrumbs on too and into the oven until brown.

Filling and forgiving.

Assuming it’s not Christmas themed then a big bowl of Greek salad (with lots of feta!) always goes down well.

I’ve just re read my recipe.

Parboil chunks of pumpkin. Slice the chunks. Then you can layer it like lasagne.

Try that.
