This is a massive long-shot....

About 15-20 years ago (possibly more!), in my early days of "doing Christmas" I used almost all the recipes of that year's Christmas Asda magazine. They were all brilliant and I kept the magazine and used the recipes every year until one year it disappeared 😪

It definitely had in it recipes for tiffin and a wonderful turkey curry. I think it may have had a recipe for truffles also and for red cabbage. The curry recipe was particularly good, and despite many many attempts I have not been able to find a recipe anywhere near as good.

Inspired by a man who tracked down a very old recycled Sainsbury's magazine recipe via twitter that I've just come across, I thought I'd put a shout-out on MN in the unlikely event that someone else has kept this magazine and hasn't been as foolish as me and lost it!

Fingers and toes crossed! 😀

It’s a long shot but have you tried contacting Asda? I wonder if they still have them on file somewhere.

I can't help but the asda magazine did have some fab recipes. Their pecan pie recipe in about 2004 was fantastic. I lived opposite an asda and loved when the new magazine came out.

Wow! There really is a MNetter that knows everything!! Sadly for me I moved to my hew house around 2012 and I definitely had it before then (I think I lost it in the move). I had a look at a couple of the oldest ones though just in case and they do seem to have reused some of the recipes so I might trawl through the older Christmas ones tomorrow and see if I can find the ones I miss! Thank you!

I know! They do some great, but simple, recipes!

Why not Google the recipes you're interested in? The examples you mentioned are pretty basic stuff, so there should be plenty of recipes out there.

Delia Online and BBC Food tend to be very reliable.

I have googled lots of turkey curry recipes as I mentioned in my OP. I am a prolific googler and use BBC good food/food and delia online, plus others all the time. Sadly can't find anything as nice as the Asda magazine one, which is why I thought I'd try a long-shot post!
