Best store bought Black Forest Gateau

Tell me your recommendation for where to get a decent store bought black forest gateau.

I'm implementing a new Christmas tradition this year with the aim to make black forest gateau the 'new' Christmas pud. We will still do a Christmas pudding with brandy as dh insists on the show of it, but no one really likes it and it never gets eaten. I don't drink alcohol anymore either, so the idea of a boozy pudding really doesn't appeal.

So I want to do black forest gateau instead. I need one that's store bought as I'm not making it. If it's frozen, even better maybe, but doesn't need to be.

Bumping, as I have had exactly the same idea! Inspired by another thread on Christmas day desserts. None of us is keen on the usual pud, so who has had a good one?

Patisserie Valerie, you can get them in Sainsbury's. They are lovely!

Truthfully the best thing you can do is make the Delia Smith one from her 1977 Book of Cakes.

But the large Coppenrath & Wiese kirschtorte is good as frozen ones go, and I've seen it in Farmfoods for a few quid.
