Cheesy biscuits recipe

Any suggestions for savoury biscuits with grated cheddar in them? I've tried a couple of online recipes but they just taste like cheesy pastry.
Would like to make them with toddler so nothing mega complicated!

My go to cheese biscuit recipe is equal weight of flour, butter, and grated cheese, with either a pinch of mustard powder or cayenne pepper. Bring together with your hands, roll out, cut into shapes and bake for 10-15 minutes. They melt in the mouth.

Ooh will try that this afternoon thanks!

Aged Gruyère keeps its cheesiness when cooked better than cheddar in my opinion.

Thank you for replying 😊 Unfortunately that ratio is one of the ones I thought tasted like pastry! Sorry to unintentionally offend your biscuits! I agree they were melt in the mouth though, and deliciously cheesy.

I suppose I was hoping for a recipe with either a different ratio or extra ingredients - maybe cornflour would help?

Parmesan Shortbreads

This is an Italian-inspired recipe that comes to me from Australia via Brazil. To explain: a Brazilian friend, and the best cook I know, Helio Fenerich made it for me, and I had to keep (rudely) asking him to carry on making it for me. Eventually, I be...

I make the Ottolenghi olive oil crackers and they are definitely mor like a cracker than a pastry, you might be able to make them cheesy.

We made the parmesan shortbread recipe @SummaLuvin suggested, and can report they are delicious 😋 We didn't bother fridging the dough, just patted it flat and used a cookie cutter, so they are really toddler friendly too! Thank you
