Alcohol in food - safe for toddlers?

Doing a Vegetable stew with red wine and dumplings...needs pint of liquid, 1/4 being red wine. Cooking for 20 min...any ideas anyone?

You remove the alcohol content by cooking so you just get the flavour of the red wine

I hope so - DS's have had pork and potatoes in red wine, and braised beef cooked in beer (well Guinness actually) in the last week
