Cheesecake - ginger nut alternative

Saw a cheesecake recipe I'd like to try but the base says to use ginger nut biscuits and all the shops are sold out near me 😭
Hoping DH can pick some up when he goes into the city but in case he doesn't have time, what would be your alternative?

It's a gingerbread cheesecake recipe. Could I get away with digestives + finely chopped ginger (with or without chocolate?) or digestives +ground ginger or with ground ginger and chopped ginger?

I think you'd want ground ginger to get the flavour even (mix it in with the melted butter?) But you could certainly add finely chopped crystallised ginger - maybe on the top or through the cheese?

I’d make it with digestive and sprinkle in some ground ginger

Or Oreo and grind ginger

Use the biscuits that look like "ginger creams", but aren't (can't think of the blasted name)",and a heaped teaspoon of ginger powder... this is what I did.
