Can I use crumble topping mix made on Tuesday (5 days ago)?

My sister brought over a huge tub of crumble topping mix she'd made (butter, flour, sugar I think) as I always complain I hate making it! However, I've not had a chance to use it until today - it's been in the fridge, seems ok, could use it for an apple crumble?

I know I should have frozen it... but I didn't think to.

Of course you can. It's butter sugar and flour, you'd use those even if much older than 5 days. I assume it's been in the fridge

I've been googling and others say it lasts fine in the fridge too - so you've given me permission to make a huge appley crumble, thanks Grin

Of course. It's butter, which has a long use by date on it.

I wouldn't blink about using it weeks later when I've made a larger batch
