Children’s birthday party gluten free ideas?

DD’s best friend is coeliac and DD’s birthday party is coming up.

Any yummy kids’ party food gf ideas? I don’t eat much gluten myself because it makes me bloated, but really can’t stand gluten free bread, making me think: who likes it?!

Would love to be able to cater for her as well as everyone else with all the other food. Happy to make the whole thing gf if easy. I have a fabulous gf birthday cake recipe.

So any party food ideas that don’t include gf bread??

If it makes a difference - party will be full of seven-and-eight-year-olds!

M&S do a GF shortbread.

Goodfellas frozen pizzas are lovely. Best ones I’ve had including at restaurants. Lovely base and plenty of topping. They’re frozen garlic pizza bread is good too. The non gf children won’t know the difference.
Cadbury’s chocolate is all ok unless there is added biscuit etc such as Double Deckers and boosts. Also the usual blue, red and orange bags of Haribo. Thinking of party bags really.

Gf little sausages, gf pizza, veggie sticks (carrots, cucumber etc with hummus, retro cheese and pineapple on sticks, crisps, you could make some wraps up with ham, cheese, salad etc and cut them into pin wheels with cocktail sticks. I really like the Bfree sweet potato wraps, they are gluten free.

One of the most popular foods at my DDs birthday party was watermelon. A whole one cut into wedge slices.

Morrisons do bags of frozen cocktail sausages that are gluten free , although when I do gluten free party food I prefer to get real sausages and chop them into chunks

Lidl own brand Pringles are gluten free - variety of other crisps as well

the wharburtons soft square gluten free rolls are great for sandwiches if just doing it for one child.

Cheese on sticks

carrot and cucumber batons

fruit skewers

Chips!

Morrisons own frozen pizza gluten free is decent and not too pricey so everyone could eat it
Aldi do tempura chicken goujons and nuggets in their fresh section which are GF
Avoid sandwiches as the bread isn't great though Waitrose buns and the warburtons mentioned above are great.
Lidl Pringles and those wheel/ spiral crisps are gluten free - the sour cream ones. Can't think how to describe them! Party mix ?
Cubes cheese and ham on sticks
Veggies and dips
Or hot dogs (mainly gf ) and just get coeliac child a special bun (Schar frozen round buns are lovely )
And most of all thank you. My DS is coeliac and would be so thrilled if he could eat everything at a party except for bread.
Becky Excell is amazing for recipes for cake. I make hers weekly and it lends itself to a birthday cake well too.

Sushi is also really popular amongst kids. I make my own really simple ones, just rice and seaweed, and the kids love them!

Thank you for all these ideas!!! They’re great - I’m doing lots of planning now!
