As the title says, I'm hosting an afternoon gathering of 12 people including 4 kids under 8. Two coeliac guests.
It will be a very relaxed affair, finger sandwiches, pinwheel sandwiches, cocktail sausages, party bites and dips (M+S or similar!). That kind of thing. Plenty of booze also of course....
I'm not sure what to do for the gluten free two. I suppose I could do sandwiches on gluten free bread, some ham, carved chicken, cheeses to "make your own" with the gf bread. I'm afraid of the sausages and sausage rolls in case they have any wheat stuff in them, I'm never sure so I will steer clear. Please help with any nice ideas for them, as I feel they miss out a bit on the scoffing! But it may be that I am overthinking it all.
My two signature desserts are Tiramisu and Banoffee Pie, both contain wheat in the biscuits i'd say. What can I provide that will suit everyone, as I'd rather not make an issue of the gf two and serve the same dessert for everyone.
Thanks if you have ideas that won't make the gf 2 unwell 😊
