How to heat pre cooked parsnips

Hi - I’m a rubbish cook. Bought some honey and mustard parsnips- instructions say to roast at 200 with the butter, but also turn regularly. Then add the dressing and roast 10 mins. How often does that mean as surely the oven cools each time so it will roast at a much lower temperature?

I don’t really want the butter - do you think it would work just cooking the parsnip for 20 mins (turning) then adding the honey dressing or would they just burn and stick?

I thought this would be easy so didn’t read it carefully before buying! TIA

I’m not used to ready meals but I think it generally works best to follow the instructions. You’ll need some fat or oil or the parsnips will just be dry ( I’ve no idea what has already been done / added which is why I would follow the instructions.)

turn them 1-2 times should be fine - the oven won’t cool sufficiently to make a difference in cooking time.

Close the oven door while you take them out to baste them.
I'd use the butter to keep them moist.

BTW, you are not a rubbish cook. You're an inexperienced cook & seem keen to learn.

I’m a rubbish cook or I’d have started with a parsnip, butter, honey etc. I do have reasons (disability) and separate excuses (so many things are available now like pre cut onions. I don’t let people watch me cutting onions- it just scares them 🤣

I did it per the instructions and it was ok but I think I might try starting from scratch with a recipe.
