Bake off question!

Anyone see this week's bake off? What would you call the tin that they cooked the lemon and thyme cake in? It looked awesome and I want one!

You can get traditional metal ones, but I bought a silicone one from Amazon a few years ago.
Worked a dream. Made a simple cake look gorgeous (grandsons impressed!)

I did debate the silicone ones @heldinadream but anything I own that is silicone ends up tasting of washing up liquid for some reason- I never seem to be able to get them clean. There must be a knack I am missing.

Am now (nearly) a proud owner of a very elegant Nordic ware metal one so I shall see how that goes!

I have made it & it’s one of the best ginger cake recipes I’ve made.

I wouldn’t use the icing in the recipe - it’s watery. I purchased the small white tubes of icing that you squeeze out - worked a treat.

I think I might like a Bundt tin. I might look for one today. I've googled some lovely recipes.

Saw a good selection of different pattern ones this morning in TK Maxx, some in clearance section too for 15 euro
