What pudding after a pie?

Is a crumble too heavy after a filo pastry pie?

Wanted something easy to make in advance.

All suggestions welcome - thank you!

Fruit fool with a custard base.
Winter fruit salad, poached apples, plums and blackberries, serve warm or cold.
Poached pears in cinnamon syrup.
Ice cream with winter berry sauce.

It’s less about the heaviness and more about avoiding a similar crunch I think.

Perhaps a semifreddo would be nice. Nigella makes some lovely ones and they can be made well ahead. Or Eton Mess.

Or if you want something warm perhaps warm chocolate pots, rice pudding or bread and butter pudding (perhaps made with brioche and berries)

Make the compote part of the crumble and serve with some greek yoghurt or ice cream maybe?

Filo can be pretty light though.... what's in the filo? Fish?

Thanks for the ideas.

Feta and spinach in the pie.

Off to make a plan...
