The actual pastry not just puff with fillings. I want to make pastry for Christmas breakfast, but want to practice it first!

barging in here, no help but I want to make pastries with marzipan , a dollop of apricot jam, icing and toasted almonds.

I made pastries donkeys years ago , it’s fairly time consuming in that your pastry needs to rest a lot.
IIRC it was a sweet yeast dough, roll out , tiny cubes of chilled butter, fold and roll (and repeat). Chill between each stage.

They were delicious and I would definitely give them another try

Did you give them a try @Ostryga

I;m going to try the Good Food one (the recipe in the YouTube video has lard so not for me)

It 's a bit of kneading then lots of rolling and chilling , so no use in my breadmaker , (I;ve done Cinnamon Rolls dough in the breadmaker )
