does anyone know how they're made? Wondered if it was something that could be done at home. Are they pickled?

More information please....

Are they oven roasted ?

Are they raw in oil ??

Carmenere · 08/03/2008 18:32

They are probably brined and then pickled.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 08/03/2008 18:38

The second one down, is this what you mean ??

Waves to Carmenere, got your email and I think you might have a point, but until she asks for help, we are helpless so to speak.

What makes it orange?????

OP posts:
SenoraPostrophe · 08/03/2008 20:32

they're usually pickled. the orange is the sauce - something involving tomato usually.

you can buy jars of pick;led garlic (without tomato sauce) in morrisons, I've just discovered.

Hopeysgirlwasntbig · 08/03/2008 20:36

Ooh, will DEF have a look in Morrisons then!!

I'm normally quite good at sussing the ingredients in things, but I'm a bit lost where these are concerned .

Tomatoes makes sense.

D'ya think there's some ginger in there?

SenoraPostrophe · 08/03/2008 21:18

I don't know as i hate olives, and can normally only taste the olives in the ones you're talking about...

I think they often have a bit of chilli in tho

Hopeysgirlwasntbig · 09/03/2008 15:28

anyone had any luck with this recipe yet?

OP posts:
BoysOnToast · 09/03/2008 15:34

youll have to go back to the stall and chat up the person there... flatter them muchly about their recipe in the hope theyll divulge it. maybe pretend you live in canada and are going home tomorrow so they'll not be losing a customer by telling you! [devious]

Hopeysgirlwasntbig · 09/03/2008 15:36

is very tempting! They are fab, but soooooooooo expensive
