What to make with chicken & potatoes

Hi all

I have some chicken breast and potatoes I've got to use tomorrow but I have no idea what to make with them.

Has anyone got any lovely yummy ideas that use these two ingredients? Ideally something my 3 young children will love too.

I feel like we've been eating the same 5 meals for a while and need a little change.

We usually have lots of pasta dishes & curries so something different would be great

TIA xxx

Chicken and potato tray bake if you’ve got any veg to throw in too or chicken pie and mash?

Do a nice little marinade and stick the chickens in the oven. (Brown sugar, paprika, garlic granules, oregano, onion granules.) sprinkle some olive oil over them. Then chop your potatoes into cubes and pop in air fryer. Quick and delicious

I'd probably do a chicken pie topped with mashed potatoes.
Fry off the chicken with onion, whatever veg you have (mushrooms and or peas would be my preference), garlic and a creamy sauce- packet cheese sauce in a pinch or flour/milk, or cream cheese if you have it. Seasonings of choice, bit of mustard. Then mash/cheese on top. Or could even slice the potato for the topping.

Do you have any green veg to go with it? Cabbage, peas, spinach?

-The breasts could be cut into goujons/large strips, covered in crumbs and baked into 'chicken tails/strips'
-Chicken kiev for the adults and filled with ham/cheese for the kids if they don't like much garlic
-Dauphinoise potatoes recipe | BBC Good Food I just use cheddar and cut back the garlic if the kids arent keen. I've also done it with a mix of potato and sweet potato or even carrot.

Thin slices of potato slow-cooked in the oven with cream and garlic - the most decadent of side dishes. A recipe triple-tested by the BBC Good Food team.

Oh wow
Thank you everyone. Yes I am going to pop to the shops in the morning for a few top up ingredients so I can get some veg or pastry for a pie etc

They all sound so delicious I might get some more chicken & potatoes tomorrow and make a few of these recipes this week

Thank you 😃

This

It requires roughly the same amount of spuds as chicken.

It's a weekly staple in my house and the kids love it including my two autistic kids one of which is an extremely careful eater (safe foods to them).

Should be fine for younger kids if they eat curry.

Tbh I'd go pretty basic with that - make some chicken schnitzels by bashing them out to an even thickness (or make them into strips) season and coat with flour, beaten egg and breadcrumbs.

Serve with jacket potatoes and beans 😋

deff coming into pie weather. either white sauce or gravy. bought in pastry is fine.a bag of those mixed frozen veggies goes great in there.
or a hotpot
or chicken and potato curry is brilliant.
