Cherry pie - can I use frozen cherries

I need to make a cherry pie for a party (there is a specific reason).

Cherries aren't really in season but I do have frozen ones.

Can I just substitute? Do I need to adjust any other quantities.

Any pie making tips greatly appreciated.

Yes. If they're very wet I would drain off some of the juice / syrup. Have a look for an American recipie - canned cherry pie

Is it a Twin Peaks party? 🍒☕

Yes it definitely can be done though you'll need quite a lot. Thaw them first and set aside the juice otherwise your pastry will become very soggy. You can reduce the juice by leaving it to bubble and/or stir in some cornflour to thicken it to a nice glaze.

Intrigued why it must be a cherry pie, is Billy Boy coming to the party? (Sorry for anyone else I have now earwormed).

Actually it's for book club. I just said party to make my life sound more exciting 😀

I'd rather go to book club than a party. I'd say I'm getting old but I think that would have been true since I was about 7.
