The list of possibilities is too long to compile. We have a lot of food in.

I’ll probably have toast.

Shadyboots23 · 06/10/2023 00:58

Eggs in any form - have ham, tomatoes, feta etc to go with
Shakshuka
Protein shake
Smoothie
Greek yoghurt with berries or banana and flaxseed mix
Apples or grapes
Bagels with cream cheese or avocado
Toast with peanut butter, jam or marmite
Sausage patties muffins (fake McDonald's ones!) with eggs and cheese
Potato waffles

mindutopia · 06/10/2023 12:35

I had 2 frozen pain au chocolat (I cooked them obviously, didn't eat them frozen!). I bought them for the kids, but they have rejected them because they aren't as chocolate-y as the normal store-bought bakery ones. 🙄

Dh had toast with butter and marmite with the one final piece of toast because the food shopping gets delivered tomorrow.

Dc both had rice crispies/milk and a piece of fruit.

I sometimes have noodles in miso broth for breakfast, so have that to hand and could have had that too.

CirreltheSquirrel · 06/10/2023 12:38

We're going on holiday tomorrow so not too much in, but still have porridge/granola/yoghurt/muesli/dried fruits/ frozen fruits, and some frozen bread to go with butter and jam/honey so we wouldn't go hungry. I could probably find a tin of beans if I looked in the cupboard too.

flowellaben · 06/10/2023 13:00

Porridge with banana or figs, or stewed apple
Toast
Eggs any way you like
Greek yoghurt with fruit
Beans on toast

mrsm43s · 06/10/2023 13:31

I've got loads of breakfast stuff in. In fact breakfast is the meal that we'd always have plenty of options for in the cupboard, fridge or freezer.

I have a bunch of different cereals
Porridge
Bread and a range of toast toppings (marmite, jam, marmalade, choc spread, peanut butter, honey)
Eggs
Grapefruit
Greek yoghurt and frozen berries
Sausages
Bacon
Mushrooms
Baked Beans
Tomatoes (fresh and tinned)

Loads of different breakfasts we could make with that!

Typically DH and DS have cereal, DD has something on toast and I have either grapefruit, soft boiled egg or fruit and yoghurt. Weekends we might do a bacon/sausage sandwich or omelette or shakshuka or something more substantial on toast (egg on toast/mushrooms on toast/tomato on toast etc).

OhDoSitDownAndShutUp · 06/10/2023 13:33

Loads of options depending on how much effort one wants to put in.

  • Bacon or sausage sandwiches
  • Dippy eggs and soldiers
  • Eggs (scrambled or poached) on toast
  • Mini full English: Bacon, eggs, sausage, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, toast (no beans though)
  • Toast and jam
  • Weetabix

  • Pain au Chocolate
  • Shakshuka

  • Eggs florentine / Benedict

Probably lots more that hasn't even occurred to me.

Scones and cake
Waffles and maple syrup

extrasushiplease · 10/10/2023 02:48

We just picked up eggs and I'm defrosting bratwurst that was on offer: With the leftover mushrooms, it's looking like omelets! (My partner has the day off and loves cooking breakfast, so this is a great treat.)

Frances0911 · 10/10/2023 02:55

Baked Beans
Brown Bread/Toast
Microwave porridge sachets where you add milk
Jam
Honey
Bananas

None of it appeals to me though really.

Ragwort · 10/10/2023 02:58

Loads of options ... always have eggs, bacon, tomatoes in fridge. Sausages could be defrosted. Toast (three sorts of bread), crumpets in freezer, various cereals, porridge. Blueberries, grapes, apples, bananas, Greek yogurt.
DH & DS love cooked breakfasts ... so do I but I try to limit them to weekends am three stone overweight.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 10/10/2023 03:13

Various cereals. Porridge. Toast with various toppings - peanut butter, almond butter, Nutella, cheese, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry or apricot jam. Eggs. Eggs with smoked salmon. Mushrooms. Greek yoghurt with raspberries and walnuts. If I had the urge to, I could make pancakes.

Toasted crumpets with cheese/jam/marmite

Bagels with cream cheese and avocado or bagel and fried eggs (my fave!)

Pancakes with banana & Nutella

overnight oats with peanut butter, Nutella, raspberry and banana on top
