Hi All,
Are the 'our place' pots & pans as good as they seem on their advertising? It keeps popping up on my feed and looks attractive to buy but I wanted to get some real user feedback. Our Place Always Pan

Always Pan 2.0

A 10-in-1 bestselling cookware system that does it all

I have one. It was bought as a gift . I have had it about 4 months now and I do use it quite a lot. It is very easy to clean. I did read some reviews which said not to use it on high heat as it can burn the coating so, knowing how much they cost, I am being careful.

dizzyupthegirl86 · 07/10/2023 10:59

Basically what @booksforever said. I had mine for my birthday last month, and it was one of those things I’d liked the look of, but probably wouldn’t have bought because of the cost.

I live on my own and for me, I really like the size of it, it’s big enough that you can fry things properly ( rather than steaming in a too small pan) but not too big. It’s really good for fried eggs as well. And it’s not super heavy. The handle does get warm and because it’s square it’s a bit awkward to lift compared to a rounder handle, but it’s only really a problem if whatever you’ve put in there is heavy!

thank you both!

Hi, I've been swithering over buying one, I've been persuaded by their early Black Friday sale 40%+ off, with a referral code which gave another £20 off on top of that - here's my link if you'd like to use it http://rwrd.io/9uu1o14?c - I get £20 off a future purchase.

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 07/11/2023 12:57

@booksforever @dizzyupthegirl86 I bought my pans in the black friday sale and have not used them yet but can't wait too.
This is an embarrassing question but how do you cook on a low heat and do things like chicken etc succfully? Even fried eggs? Clearly I ahve been cooking at way too high a temperature all these years so some pointers would be really welcome.

OP posts:
dizzyupthegirl86 · 07/11/2023 13:00

I use whatever heat feels appropriate. I rarely have it blazing hot, like for a stir fry I’d use a wok. But chicken, eggs, etc I just use a medium heat and it works fine
it’s also oven safe so you could sear chicken on the hob and then finish it off in the oven

peachgreen · 07/11/2023 13:02

I love mine. I have the frying pan and the big one. You do have to be careful with high heats – I did slightly spoil my frying pan but it was my own fault! Just keep it moving if you have something in at a high heat. They clean like a dream though.

funbags3 · 07/11/2023 13:41

I like the look of these but seems like an awful lot of money for something so delicate.

dizzyupthegirl86 · 07/11/2023 15:27

I find it way less high maintanence than a Le crueset pan, funnily enough!
@peachgreen how did you spoil it? What happens when you use too high a heat?

Mangolover123 · 08/11/2023 23:15

Debating if to make a significant purchase and buy the lot as they are so pretty! It says it is OK on an induction hob, is the base completely flat or does it have grooves in?

CrappyBarbara · 08/11/2023 23:42

They get a lot of hype online but if you dig through to honest reviews they are very mixed. I will try to find some examples of what I have read.

dizzyupthegirl86 · 09/11/2023 07:21

@Mangolover123 the base on the pan is flat. It’s got the logo embossed in it though.

what colour would you get? Mine is the sage green one, I love it.

Mangolover123 · 09/11/2023 07:50

I really like the Tierra special edition colour but also like Char and Stem. Love the sage also.

@CrappyBarbara
I do know what you mean by mixed reviews but I am being seduced by clever marketing and pretty colours!

Maybe I should only buy a couple then the whole lot; but I really want the grips and steamer also.....

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 09/11/2023 15:01

I have used mine three times now and love them so far. I have the Always Pan and the Always Pan Mini in colour 'steam'. I also just bought the Cast iron Always pan (using the voucher I received after my first purchase and the discount that is currently on offer 😀)

I hope I am writing a great review after 6months of use!

OP posts:
SoTiredNeedHoliday · 09/11/2023 15:02

@Mangolover123 grips come with the cast iron pan and you do get a steamer with the Always Pan (not a bamboo one though)

Aldi are releasing their dupe of this on Thursday for £19.99

'From Our Place' Always Pan
McmahonH · 27/06/2024 23:29

I would NOT recommend the Our Place pan/product. Got it in May 23 at a birthday gift. By Aug 23 not stick was gone. Do not buy. Waste of money.

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 28/06/2024 11:59

@McmahonH did you contact the company?

I have had no issues with mine, totally love them!!! Use them every single day.

OP posts:
peachgreen · 28/06/2024 12:04

The non-stick on mine only went when I burned the fuck out of it... 😅Replacement one has been fine for 3 years.

dizzyupthegirl86 · 28/06/2024 12:27

I quite like the look of the mini pot! I use my pan all the time too

HotCrossBunplease · 27/07/2024 10:26

Hello, wondered if anyone has any more long term feedback on these pans? I keep getting seduced by the advertising and am tempted to ask for one for my birthday (rock and roll 51st 😃).

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 31/07/2024 18:29

@HotCrossBunplease mine are still going strong. Use them every single day. I don't cook with them on high heat though, I keep it at 7 as a maximum. Perhaps also ask for something else too at least a mini and a normal size pan

OP posts:
dizzyupthegirl86 · 31/07/2024 18:31

Yeah I’ve literally got no criticism when it comes to the longevity. I hand wash it but it’s still just as non stick as it was when I got it.

HotCrossBunplease · 31/07/2024 20:37

Thank you both!
