“Pink Cripps” or “Gravenstein apple” sub?

I’ve found an apple cake recipe they looks nice, but it’s American and it says these are the best apples to use.

Does anyone know of a good UK equivalent? I initially thought pink lady’s were the same as these cripps but apparently not!

What are the characteristics of the apples recommended?
Based on that you could either go fir a bramley or a russet, if you can get them.
