Does anybody know the secret to why kebab shop salads are always so delicious?

That's it really. They always are. I can't understand why. What do they do to make them delicious?

I never eat them drunk and they are still delicious. I normally hate salad

For me it's because of the garlic sauce

They dress the cabbage with a lemon dressing you can buy in Turkish markets. They’re not expensive but you do have to try them as some are vile!

The shredded cabbage at my local has olive oil mixed in. I'd also assume lemon juice and salt.

Oil, lemon juice, oregano and salt. Tossed well and cut small.

Lemon juice, a touch of olive oil and a smidgen of salt. Makes all the difference.

I agree I don't drink so definatley don't eat when drunk. I want a kebab now.

Do you have garlic mayo? That stuff makes raw red cabbage taste good.

The cabbage is marinated in olive oil, lemon juice and salt for at least half an hour.

It's the red cabbage and those big green chillies. Also the sauces.

I hate that Kebabs get such a bad rep as terrible drunk junk food. Doner meat, yes, but a good chicken shish with rice and salad is probably one of the healthiest takeaways you can get if you go easy on the sauces!
