How would you use this muffin mould?

A bit confused by this. Looks lovely but surely the muffin rising will then look weird as you have the tree shape at the bottom. Am I missing something really basic here?😅😅 Are you meant to cut a part of the muffin to make it flat?

Yes. LOL

Yes you'd just level the base to make it flat.

Did it come with a stand or something? Or is it solid? It looks like silicone which will need to be stood on the points of the trees while cooking, just wondering how it doesn't crumple and wobble about.

In this case. Yes if you wanted the muffins to stand upright as trees, you'd slice the bottom off to make it flat.

I have the house mould in the background, but I don't use it for muffins, I use it for chocolate creations.

@Totaly yes you cut it? But isn’t that a waste of the best part of the muffin??

Put less mixture in so it doesn’t rise past the top?

Yes and you get to eat all the luscious top bits and other people get the fun novelty end. Happy Christmas!

Crazykefir · 30/09/2023 08:15

No. It looks weird and I'd eat all the off cut at once x

InMySpareTime · 30/09/2023 08:35

They'll be for cake pops, sort of cake lollies, with the lolly stick making the tree trunk so it doesn't need to be level.

Fromage · 30/09/2023 08:53

I have a similar one and the instructions say to fill it two thirds full.

Also useful for jelly & chocolate moulds.

You could maybe make massive ice cubes for Christmas parties too.

I'd be tempted to try to put something denser than cake on the top of the rounded tops of muffins and make Weeble trees.Grin

If you cook at 160 instead of 180 and don't overfill the cake it will only rise flat to the top of the mould so you won't need to trim off.
